Truck crash blocks SH1 in Cambridge, Waikato

Traffic is now flowing after a truck crash on State Highway 1 in Waikato this morning.

Police were called to a single truck crash on Tirau Rd (SH1), Cambridge about 6.11am.

There were no reports of any serious injuries and the southbound lane had been blocked.

Karapiro Cafe & bakery owner Nara Ly said traffic was now flowing as normal outside her SH1 shop.

Ly said she the truck had crashed into a barrier.

A NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi spokeswoman said northbound traffic wasn’t affected and southbound traffic was diverted via the weigh station.

A police spokesman said a tow had been arranged.
