Three people have suffered serious injuries in a crash on Te Pahu Rd, near Karamu in Waikatō.

Police said a single-vehicle crash occurred around 7.30pm this evening and emergency services are in attendance.

Fire and Emergency New Zealand said a vehicle had rolled and two trucks assisted the police and ambulance services but have since left.

Hato Hone St John said one patient is in a critical condition, one is in a serious condition and one is in a moderate condition.

“Hato Hone St John attended a traffic incident in Karamu,” a spokesperson said.

“Four vehicles attended the incident and treated three patients and transported three patients to Waikato Hospital.”

Police said Te Pahu Rd is closed and motorists should expect delays.
