A Tauranga man has been missing more than two weeks and police have issued a fresh appeal for help to find him.

Police said Jarrad Ormsby, aged 45, was reported missing in Hamilton on December 19.

He is originally from Welcome Bay in Tauranga but had recently stayed with his partner in Hamilton.

It was believed he was headed to catch a bus from Tauranga but had not been seen since.

“Police have spoken with several of his friends and family, and no one has reported having contact with him since he went missing,” police said.

“Jarrad’s family and police have serious concerns for his welfare and would like to see him return home safely.”

Anyone who had seen Ormsby, or may have information to help locate him, was asked to call 111 and quote file number 241228/0623.

A photo released by police showed Ormsby with a beard, but police said he was believed to be clean-shaven now.
