One person has died following a two-vehicle crash in the Coromandel.

Emergency services were called to Main Rd, Tairua, about 5.20pm on Thursday, police said today.

The crash happened between Manaia and Daphne Rds.

“One person was unable to be revived. Their death has been referred to the Coroner,” police said.

The Serious Crash Unit conducted a scene examination and inquiries were ongoing.
