Five-piece Auckland-based indie rock band Tablefox last week released their debut album, Objects on iTunes, and to support the release they will tour the upper North Island, with a stop at Hamilton's Nirvara Lounge this Friday.

Tablefox is comprised of Clinton Bell on vocals, guitarists Mat Carson and Hamiltonian Chris Dickinson, Brendan Coyle on bass and Owen Bradley on drums.

The band is developing a reputation as a powerful and honest live act, and promises more of the same while on tour in celebration of its new album.

"It's been a creative and challenging process, but we are extremely proud of what we have created, and everyone has done a fantastic job to produce a stunning album," said Chris Dickinson.

"We are really excited about sharing the songs with our fans, and getting out on the road."

Chris said Objects was the culmination of a year and a half of crafting and refining songs that take a listener on a journey.

Tablefox plays at Nirvara Lounge on November 27. Also playing on the night will be Harry Parsons and Simon Hirst. Doors open at 8pm, $10 entry.
