A number of streets in Hamilton have surface flooding resulting from recent torrential rain.

Drivers are asked to be extra vigilant and drive to the conditions.

Police are asking motorists to watch their following distances, put your headlights on and keep your speeds down.

Roads affected include Cobham Drive and Maeroa Road.
