One person dies after two-vehicle crash on State Highway 24 Tauranga Rd

One person has died following a crash on State Highway 24/Tauranga Rd.

The two-vehicle crash, near Te Poi, was reported to emergency services at 9.45am.

Police confirmed in a statement this afternoon that one person died at the scene.

Motorists are advised to expect delays, police said.

Diversions were in place.

For southbound traffic from SH24 continue on to Te Poi Rd and turn left onto SH29. Reverse for northbound traffic.
