A scrub fire has forced a halt to train traffic outside Hamilton.
Firefighters are tackling the blaze - approximately 200m by 10m - in Rukuhia, which is close to a railway line.
Train traffic has been stopped, and power to some overhead electricity lines has been cut off while thefire service attempts to douse the flames, fire shift manager Tania Matthews said.
