Salvation Army missing person station at Fieldays.

Salvation Army missing person station at Fieldays.

The Salvation Army has a top tip for parents who will be bringing young children to the National Fieldays next week - take a photo of what they are wearing on the day.

Distressed mums and dads in search of mislaid youngsters often can't remember what they dressed the little ones in that morning, according to the Sallies.

Salvation Army public relations co-ordinator Kay Worth says fathers in particular often struggle to provide an accurate description when they turn up at the Salvation Army's missing persons base at Fieldays in search of junior.

It is a service the army has been providing at the annual event for almost 20 years.
"Some people are great.

"They arrive with their children equipped with a lanyard with all their contact details, or mum or dad's business card," says Kay.

"But otherwise, take a photo so we know what they are wearing, or even write your cellphone number on the child's arm or on a label firmly attached to a piece of clothing."

The Salvation Army Missing Persons service will be set up at the Village Green at Fieldays, near the police and other emergency services.

Also parents and any one else should feel free to use the Sallies base as a pre-arranged meeting spot to find children, or any other lost family or friends, Kay says.
