St Paul's Collegiate Choir will perform in St John's Church this Sunday.

St Paul's Collegiate Choir will perform in St John's Church this Sunday.

The Te Awamutu Music Federation is delighted to welcome back St Paul's Collegiate Choir after Covid-19 forced the cancellation of the planned 2020 concert.

Tim Carpenter brought a large and enthusiastic group to Te Awamutu in 2019 and the federation was pleased when he offered to bring them back in 2021.

Secondary schools choral music is on a roll at present and the acoustics of Professor Toy's St John's Church in Te Awamutu are ideal for young voices, as shown by the National Youth Choir concert there in recent years.

Te Awamutu Music Federation has enjoyed supporting young musicians and hopes to have a visit from the Waikato University Music Department later in the year.

The concert is at 2pm this Sunday. The cost is $20 for adults and children and students are free. Parking is available off George St as well as on Arawata St and there is wheelchair accessibility from Arawata St.
