It was finals day for the Tommo's Bakery and Catering Saturday Open Grade competition on Saturday and in the main the weather played its part, staying fine and dry until the last round. The game between the top two teams in the Premier 1 grade lived up to expectations with some great competitive netball despite a cold shower during the game.

In the game between Verdettes Marist Premier and St Paul's Collegiate Open A it could have gone either way.

Both teams had the lead at times and at three quarter time the game was drawn so it was an intense and exciting final quarter.
In the end Verdettes Marist Premier were able to inch ahead and take the win.

Overall there was some great finals played on the day and several games were close including a couple with only a goal or two the difference.

Prize giving for the various Open Grades was held mid-way through the afternoon and at the conclusion of the final games.
