Person dies in Matamata crash at Waharoa Rd East intersection

Emergency services were called to the crash just before 4.40pm on Thursday.

One person is dead after a crash in Matamata.

Emergency services were called to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Waharoa Rd East and Pohlen Rd at 4.40pm on Thursday.

Police said one person was found dead at the scene.

“The Serious Crash Unit has conducted a scene examination and the road is now open.”
