Person critically injured after South Auckland crash

A person has critical injuries after a car collided with a pedestrian in South Auckland this afternoon.

The crash on Martindale Lane, Tuakau was reported around 12.25pm and road closures are in place.

A police spokesperson said the crash was serious and initial indications were one person had received critical injuries.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area.

The serious crash unit is also attending.
