Liquid Energy Netball Team are stepping on to the court in style this season, thanks to an ANZ Netball Dream Delivery.

The mums' social team has been awarded a much-needed uniform upgrade including tops, skirts, bibs, gear bags and balls.

The team was established 20 years ago but has only been able to fund a kit upgrade once over those two decades.

The group of friends play just to have some fun and a little stress release, as most of them are working mums.

They don't have a coach or practice sessions, and long-time team member Allie Locke says that although the uniform was dated and worn, nothing will stop the team playing for the love of the game.

"We are mums and struggle to pay the annual subscription fees, let alone being able to afford an upgrade to our uniform," she says.

"While we may feel old on court, now that we have our smart new uniforms, we will look brand new," says Allie.

The team plays in the Hamilton City Netball Centre competition based at Minogue Park. They have played in various grades of the competition over the years.

"It seems to depend on how many people we have away having babies. That seems to be our thing," says Allie.

She says that last Saturday they had a great buzz running around in the new kit.
"It was the fastest we have played in a while - and we won."

ANZ's Dream Delivery programme has helped netball players from across the country to achieve their sporting dreams this season.

"We are proud to support netball at all levels, from grassroots right up to the Silver Ferns," Sue McGregor, ANZ Head of Sponsorship said. "We know sometimes all you need is just that little bit of extra help to achieve your dreams, so we are committed to helping as many of New Zealand's netball community as we can.

"We're thrilled to be giving the players in Liquid Energy Netball Team a much-needed uniform upgrade.

"We hope the new gear helps them look and feel confident on game days."

ANZ is fulfilling netball dreams across New Zealand this season as part of its Dream Deliveries programme, providing an opportunity for netballers of all ages and levels to have their netball dreams realised.
