Popular Market Place is on the move but will be held in its current Hillcrest location one last time tomorrow.

A new venue and dates are yet to be released, but it's expected the market will move into the city.

Market organiser Kelli Pike, who also runs vintage and retro business Teacup and Saucer, decided to look for a central venue to run the market from in an attempt to encourage people back to the heart of the city.

"I'm tired of seeing it empty, lacking vibrancy and the recipient of negativity. I'm certain that the current view of it can be changed and I keep hearing others talk along the same lines, so think it's only a matter of time".

Kelli has also been working on Market Place's involvement in the city's birthday party on November 22.

"We're setting up our market in Civic Square and I'm really happy to have the opportunity for the stallholders to be able to showcase what they have to new customers while being a part of what is shaping up to be a really exciting and memorable event for everyone in Hamilton to enjoy".

Kelli says patrons will be able to buy from their favourite stallholders tomorrow.

"The Collectors will have all things vintage and retro on offer while the Creators will ensure you browse the best locally designed and made items. There are also two new stallholders this month. A Good Vintage creates new dresses, from vintage fabrics and patterns. You can also meet Cambridge stallholder Teyha's Place who upcycles and repurposes old wood and furniture into one of a kind, quality items for the home.

"Another reason to head to Market Place is to be one of the first to purchase from Mallory Xavier's new Ahoy! range of clothing. This range, with a nautical inspiration is bound to fly of the rack so you will need to be in quick."
