This is the map drawn by Hamilton Zoo director Stephen Standley following the 2013 incident. His note in the top right-hand corner reads: "Gate closed at time of incident."

The note at the bottom reads: "Attachment 2, incident 16 March 2013, Tiger Enclosure, Hamilton Zoo, Not to scale."

The pink arrowed line indicates the route taken by the tiger, from out of den 3 into the keeper area where it has exited the door to the outdoors, turned right and followed its way around to the personnel gate into the display enclosure where it has approached the keeper who was preparing for a tiger talk.

KEY

E - The personnel door the keeper left open in March 2013

NOTE: For ease of viewing and print reproduction, we have gone over the original drawing in black pen to more clearly show the fencing and tiger house area. We have also added the blue and green colouring to show the different fence heights and added the large letters that correspond with the key provided.
