A man has been stabbed in the leg with a boning knife after an argument in Hamilton.

Police have arrested a 25-year-old male following an argument between the two men, which resulted in the stabbing, at a Frankton business this afternoon.

The man was transported to Waikato hospital with moderate injuries.

Police are continuing a scene examination and speaking with witnesses.

The 25-year-old man will appear in the Hamilton District Court tomorrow.
