A man is in a critical condition in intensive care after being hit by a motorcycle in Hamilton.

The man was hit by a motorcycle while crossing Cobham Drive, near the Grey St intersection, at about 7.45am.

The serious crash unit is investigating and police are looking for witnesses to the incident.

A Waikato Hospital spokeswoman said the man is in a critical condition in intensive care at the hospital.
