Man in critical condition in hospital after Huntly stabbing

Police have cordoned off a property on Kimihia Rd, west Huntly, after a man was stabbed this morning.

A man is in a critical condition after being stabbed at a Huntly property.

Police were called to Kimihia Rd, in west Huntly, at 5.10am after reports of a man being stabbed.

He was taken to Waikato Hospital in a critical condition, a police spokeswoman said.

A property on Burke Pl had since been cordoned off and an investigation was under way.

Another man was being spoken to by police and was assisting with enquiries.

The pair are known to each other.
