State Highway 1 has reopened after a logging truck rolled in Taupō and caused a partial blockage.

Emergency services were called to the incident on Lake Terrace near the SH1 intersection at 1.12pm, police said.

The two-trailer truck was blocking the road and there did not appear to be any injuries, police said.

The police district command centre was “unaware of another vehicle having been involved in the crash”.

The road was partially closed for a couple of hours and motorists were advised to avoid the area and seek alternative routes.

The NZ Transport Agency posted at 4.05pm that the crash had been cleared and all lanes in the area were open.
