The NRL All Stars just welcomed a different kind of star to the double-header matches in Hamilton in February.

Stan Walker will give a headline performance at the rugby league matches at FMG Stadium Waikato on February 15.

Walker, AMAs Best Māori Artist for 2025, has deep connections to Australia and New Zealand.

He was born in Melbourne and grew up at Mount Maunganui and Hamilton, attending Fairfield Intermediate and Hamilton Boys’ High, before moving back to Australia.

At the upcoming NRL event, Walker will perform award-winning songs as well as a brand-new single.

“I’m so proud and excited to be part of this year’s Harvey Norman All Stars,” Walker said.

“This event is a beautiful celebration of Indigenous culture and I can’t wait to share some songs and experience the event with the fans.”

Harvey Norman All Stars is the NRL’s annual celebration of Māori and Indigenous culture, featuring some of the NRL and NRLW’s most exciting stars as well as showcasing the game’s rising talent.

The upcoming event in Hamilton includes clashes between the men’s and women’s Māori and Indigenous All Stars teams, along with touch football.

Ahead of the matches, there will be a week-long programme of activities for players and the local community.

The Hamilton event will only be the second time that the All Stars battle has touched down in New Zealand.

The first time was in 2023, when the event was held in Rotorua.

The All Stars series being held in Hamilton comes after a record-breaking year for women’s rugby league in the city, with FMG Stadium Waikato attracting some of the largest NRLW crowds in 2025.

Those numbers contributed to Hamilton securing two Warriors NRLW home games again in July and August.

Tickets for Harvey Norman All Stars are available at nrl.com/tickets, starting at $19 for adults and $59 for families.

The event will start with the Touch Football Māori All Stars v Indigenous All Stars at 2.25pm, followed by Aotearoa New Zealand Māori Wahine Toa All Stars v Australian Indigenous Women’s at 3.30pm.

Aotearoa NZ Māori Tane All Stars v Men’s Australian Indigenous Men’s All-Stars will kick off at 5.45pm.
