Hamilton Wanderers premier men's team picked up a massive three points against East Coast Bays on Saturday to keep them away from a third consecutive relegation fight.

The win moves Wanderers up to seventh place, with some breathing room over the bottom three.

Their opponent sit in a relegation battle themselves, only four points above second to last, and were completely outmatched as Tommy Semmy and Alex Frank stole the show for Wanderers.

Semmy had put Wanderers up just outside of 20 minutes, before Frank grabbed a second for the blues just after 30 minutes.

Judd Baker, who was part of Wanderers' first ever national league squad, gave East Coast Bays a glimpse of hope with a goal of his own, but it was short lived.

Semmy was on hand again to score his second, before Frank, not to be outdone by his strike partner, scored his second to give Wanderers a 4-1 win.

Melville United are inching closer to promotion, and an unbeaten season, as they dispatched Hibiscus Coast 5-0.

Mark Jones scored inside the opening minute, before a Josh Davies double, and goals from Harry Christensen-Rose and Federico Marquez secured them the comfortable win.
