Field Officers are the farm-gate face of Federated Farmers. With only nine in the team they each have large regions to cover, driving up to 5000km each month.

Federated Farmers does this to understand local issues as well as to promote and advise members on policy and advocacy work. Another key role of meeting members is to meet prospective members. Field officers focus on strengthening the organisation through building and retaining membership.

Just like the farmers they deal with, the nature of a field officer's working day varies. The one thing they deliver is a compelling message on the value that we deliver as an independent federation of farmers for farmers; helping farmers to navigate an increasing number of off-farm business risks and drivers beyond their control. Supporting new and existing members the field officers sign up helps in turn to inform the federation on the hundreds of issues we are dealing with.

Federated Farmers is often the first place farmers turn to when adverse events strike or Government regulations impact. Help us to help you by joining now. Dial 0800327646 to join, or contact your local field officer.
