A driver of a car managed to get themselves out of their vehicle after it crashed into a house in Hamilton today.

Northern fire communications shift manager Daniel Nicholson said firefighters were at a house in Flemington Pl, Nawton, after a car crashed it this afternoon.

However, he confirmed that nobody had been trapped or suffered any serious injury.

It was unclear if anyone was home at the time.
