Death of woman in Nawton, Hamilton 'suspicious', police say

The death of a woman in Hamilton is now being treated as suspicious.

The death was reported at 1.45pm yesterday, and a house on Dominion Rd in Nawton, Hamilton was cordoned off.

Police this afternoon confirmed her death was suspicious.

Detective Sergeant Andrew Saunders said a scene examination was still being carried out at the property.

A post mortem and formal identification were due to be completed tomorrow.
