A draft plan outlining future management and development possibilities for Hamilton Lake Domain is now out for consultation.

One of the city's premier park destinations, Hamilton Lake Domain is managed by Hamilton City Council.

Sally Sheedy, the Council's parks and open spaces manager, said the draft management plan presents an opportunity for residents and stakeholders to provide comments on future possibilities for the Hamilton Lake Domain.

"Hamilton Lake Domain is one of our most popular parks and in recent years we've made some great enhancements with the destination playground and the refurbished toilet block," Miss Sheedy said.

"With our draft Plan, we're exploring some of the opportunities to further enhance the park over the coming years."

Organisations and members of the public wishing to view the draft Plan, and make submissions, can do so at www.hamilton.govt.nz/lakedomain

Council will hold an open day at the Hamilton Lake Domain on October 26 from 10.30am-12.30pm and 4-6pm, when members of the public can speak to staff about the plan and the process around it.

The consultation process runs through until December 7 and hearings on the plan will be held in early 2017.
