Lifestyle Meats in Dinsdale look set to reopen this week after a fire damaged the shop last week.

Owner Warren Klein said fire appliances were called out after fire broke out in a refridgeration condensing unit.

He said because the insulated refrigeration area in the shop was involved in the blaze, the sandwich panelling within that had caused dense soot.

Mr Klein said this was the busiest time of year for the store, but he was pleased that contractors were able to work quickly to get the shop back in working order ready to re-open on Friday.

"There would never be a good time for this to happen, but this close to Christmas is even worse," he said.
