Generation Homes has followed on from Tui in offering a massive prize for something unlikely to happen at a major sporting event.
Where Tui got plenty of mileage out of offering fans $100,000 for a one-handed catch at some Black Caps matches this season, the home building company is putting
up seven chances for Chiefs fans to win $350,000 at home Investec Super Rugby games this season.
The Chiefs sponsor is rather stretching things by releasing details of a "potential prize pool worth $2.45 million" in the "Score a Home" promotion considering it will only present a Generation Home if the Chiefs' number 14 scores a try in the 14th minute of any of the remaining seven home matches.
Registration is through the Generation Homes website, with matches at both Waikato Stadium and Yarrow Stadium included in the competition.
In the Chiefs' most recent match against the Highlanders, Chiefs winger Tim Nanai-Williams came close by scoring near the 11th minute, so a Chiefs set-piece on the left-hand side of the field with the backs stacked will be interesting.
