Guinness
Draught
4.2 per cent

I'd never had much interest in trying Guinness or any stout over the years. Eww, I thought. Until I went to the Guinness factory in Dublin, Ireland, a few years ago. What a revelation.

And who would have thought there's even an art to drinking it?

While taking part in the Guinness pourer's course at the factory, you learn that you don't just chug it back like any old Speights or Tui. You take a big fat swig, fill your mouth and when you swallow you breath out at the same time thereby getting all the aromatics into all your senses.

Try it; it's blimmin' marvellous and will have you heading to your local Irish bar in no time. If you become a big fan, you can even buy 440ml cans at most supermarkets and liquor outlets.

They say it doesn't taste as good as at the brewery itself but it's a lot cheaper than flying over there.

At least this way you can celebrate St Patrick's Day at home next week if you can't make it to the pub. Slainte!
