Jason Momoa, a Game of Thrones actor, will attend the Hamilton and Wellington editions of the Armageddon Expo.

Zombies, superheroes, sci-fi monsters and real-life anime characters are gearing up to make their annual appearances, alongside real fantasy, fiction and comic stars at the expo at Claudelands Arena this weekend.

Momoa plays the role of a Dothraki warlord, Khal Drogo, in the series and is expected to attract plenty of fans on his return to Armageddon.

Armageddon organiser William Geradts says ticket sales are going well. "Once the public hears Jason is coming, we're expecting a spike and hoping to see more ladies than usual."

Momoa will be joined by a range of other fantasy, comic book and sci-fi stars, including fellow actors from the franchise, Jo Flannigan and Mitch Peleggi.

All celebrities attending will take part in panels, signings and photos, so fans can meet them. For a full list of guests and events at the expos, visit www.armageddonexpos.com
