Queens Jubilee Ball in Hamilton

A Scottish Country Dancing ball was held in Hamilton on Saturday June 2nd to celebrate the Queen's Royal diamond jubilee.

Some dancers attended a similar ball held in Hamilton to celebrate the Queen's coronation sixty years ago, and enjoyed it just as much.

The ball was part of a weekend dancing school held at Sacred Heart Girls College and was attended by 130 guests including the president of the New Zealand branch of the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society, Fiona Bullivant, and local dignitaries including Hamilton Mayor Julie Hardaker and MP's Tim MacIndoe and David Bennet
