Lilly Allen, Sheezus

Lilly Allen, Sheezus

One line sums up this album: "Give me that crown b***h I want to be Sheezus".

Lily Allen has made a fiery return to pop music in her third studio album in which the title is a nod to Kanye West's Yeezus.

Allen's comeback comes after an almost five-year hiatus in which she had two children. She comes back with an album any fan of hers would love.

The album debuted at No1 in the UK album chart.

The title song kicks off the album and sets the tone -- it is full of Allen's no-nonsense attitude and comedic personality. In it she gives a substantial mention to New Zealand's own Lorde. "Lorde smells blood, yeah she's about to slay you. Kid ain't one to f**k with when she's only on her debut."

She follows the rest of the album up with her great lyrical content and social commentary.

The first single released off the album Hard out Here pulls no punches, "I won't be bragging 'bout my cars or talking 'bout my chains. Don't need to shake my ass for you 'cause I've got a brain".

The album is packed with no-skip tracks and is all about her and who she wants to be. It also features her cover of Keane's Somewhere Only We Know, which shot to No1 in the UK after featuring on a Christmas TV advert for an upmarket supermarket.
