The couple wind up in hospital after a car accident and although Leo is relatively unhurt, Paige has suffered a serious brain injury.
When she eventually wakes from her coma she can't remember who Leo is. Her last memory of her life is some five years before. Leo is a stranger and she is supposed to love him?
Leo makes many frustrating attempts to help jog her memory before realising it is up to him to woo his wife like he did all those years ago.
Standing in his way are her parents (Jessica Lange and our own Sam Neill) and a former fiance (Scott Speedman), who sees another chance to win over Paige.
Winning a girl back is no easy task and he must endure many emotions during a quest that looks doomed to failure.
Guys be warned, this is real quality chick-flick material and seems aimed at the girls, from 14 to 70, in particular.
But it does tell a good romantic story that is realistic and heart-warming.
