High-school reunions aren't normally this much fun. But then the American Pie crew have never been normal.
It was 13 years ago when we first met Jim, Oz, Kevin, Stifler and Finch and we've watched on as they gone about their way moving from teenagers to men.
When we firstmet them their greatest mission in life was losing their virginity, now it is time to reassess their life and decide whether they are where they want to be.
Star of the show, Jim (Jason Biggs), is gradually living down his infamous Nadia incident and is now happily married to Michelle with a child.
But being married isn't all it promised and he and his wife have grown apart. He needs to find time to spice up their love life.
Oz, Kevin and Finch have all moved on but not necessarily to places they want to be in. Stifler, fortunately, is still Stifler and every bit as obnoxious.
When the gang get back together for their reunion, the magic of old is rekindled. It is time to party and, for some, to try to remember what it used to be like as a high-school student.
As always, the voice of reason belongs to Jim's dad (Eugene Levy), and he is responsible for some of the funnier moments in the movie.
As their lives and relationships suffer under the scrutiny of their mates, the lads needs to make some decisions and take an honest look at themselves if they want to reinvent themselves before the reunion is over.
There's nothing intellectual about any of the American Pie movies and the R16 rating gives you an indication of some its racy material.
But having watched the lads from their early days, American Pie: Reunion is not a cheap take-off and does take their journey along nicely to what now must be a logical conclusion.
