Yeardley Smith - the voice of popular television cartoon character Lisa Simpson - is set to entertain fans alongside a spread of fantasy, fiction and sci-fi stars at Armageddon expos.
Armageddon returns to Hamilton's Claudeland's Event Centre on May 25 and 26.
Armageddon organiser William Geradts says it's aNew Zealand first to have Smith, a member of The Simpsons cast at the expo.
"The show is one of the greatest television series of all time, so we're expecting a huge turnout," he says.
Smith has voiced Lisa Simpson, the Buddhist and vegetarian member of the dysfunctional American family, since the show's inception in 1987 on the Tracey Ullman Show.
Smith will be joined by others from the industry greeting fans at Armageddon.
Among them will be X-Files cast member Mitch Pileggi, who played Walter Skinner in the series, Colonel Steven Caldwell in Stargate Atlantis and Samuel Campbell in Supernatural.
Movie and TV star Eric Roberts, who recently starred in The Dark Knight and The Expendables, will be attending the expos for the first time.
Other guests include Tony Amendola from Once Upon a Time, Joe Flanigan from Stargate Atlantis, Meagan Smith, voice of Gwen Tennyson from Ben 10 and Doctor Who and The Hobbit star Sylvester McCoy.
Anime and manga fans will be lining up to meet Janet Varney, the voice-over star of Avatar: The Legend of Korra and Christopher Smith, of Monsuno, Skyrim and Lego Batman fame.
Comic book buffs will be thrilled at the opportunity to meet Gail Simone, the writer of Batgirl, Red Sonja, Birds of Prey and Wonder Woman, as well as the artist from MAD and Bongo comics Dean Rankine.
Rankine will also be available to draw caricatures of punters 'Simpson' style or stick their head in a jar, a la Futurama.
