Pirongia teenager Hannah Adams is excited about singing in the Hamilton Gardens Arts Festival which begins this weekend.
After appearing in a number of Te Awamutu College concerts and the Talos show Scrooge last year, Hannah's talent was recognised by festival organisers.
Her first appearance in the Hamilton Garden ArtsFestival will be in the oneoffAmoItaliana opera concert on Friday. She will be singing On My Own, Love Never Dies and All I Ask Of You alongside tenor Bevan Williams.
Her second booking is for the play Portrait of the Mona Lisa which runs nightly (8pm) from February 27 to 29. She will be singing O Mio Babino Caro and Nella Fantasia in the Medici Court.
Hannah (16) has just left school and is looking forward to being part of the summer festival.
"It's a fabulous event to be part of and I'm thrilled to have the opportunity.''
What has now become an iconic open-air summer festival for the city, the Hamilton Gardens Arts Festival (running from February 17 till March 1 this year) combines a range of visual arts, music, comedy, film, theatre, literature and food and wine, offering something for all ages and tastes.
