Time for tomatoes
Now's the time to start germinating tomato seeds inside, and other vegetable seeds planted in trays should soon be ready for planting outdoors after the last frost has passed.
Keep off the grass
If it's been raining a lot at your place, keep off your lawn -
walking on a wet lawn can compact the soil and kill fragile new shoots.
Air out your lawn
Once your lawn has dried, aerate the soil with a rotary spike lawn aerator and give it a head start with a thin layer of compost.
Sow some strawbs
In warmer areas, prune back winter growth on passionfruit and feijoa, and take a punt and plant a few strawberries - they can thrive this early in warmer areas.
