Finish the trimmings
Finish all pruning or trimming - if you leave it any later you may get new growth which will be damaged by wintery conditions.
Trench trees to relocate
Check out trees you want to move in the future and trench them now for relocation in six months
or a year.
Sort out winter protection
Provide frost protection for the plants you think will need it. Lift those that will not survive frost and keep them in semi-dry compost in a frost-free spot. Sort out wind protection for plants, too.
Plant for vege bounty
Don't ignore your vege patch - plant broad beans, cabbage, broccoli, carrots, peas, spinach and turnips in the warm north and sheltered regions, and plant undercover where it's cooler.
