Potted colour
Add winter cheer by planting pots of colour and prolong
flowering of pansies, violas and polyanthus by dressing with blood and bone or general fertiliser. Deadhead regularly to encourage flowering and prevent botrytis.
Banish moss
Have a blitz on your paths and steps and remove moss and lichen to prevent the areas getting slippery over the winter.
Warm up, outside
If you want to entertain outside during the cooler months, look into warming up your outdoor living area. Radiant outdoor heaters mounted on the house or a near wall are a quick, easy solution, but there are many outdoor gas and wood-fires that can be quickly and easily installed.
