Fuchsias in fashion

Remember fuchsias? They are so back in fashion. They're available now. Plant in semi-shade. Irises are also back on the hot list.

Peas with beans

Sow peans. They grow like beans but taste like peas. You can eat them small in the pods, or shelled. They take a while but produce lots.

Take it easy

Now that your lawn is growing like mad, you may be tempted to scalp it. Don't. Instead, set the level on the lawnmower a notch higher.

Beat those bugs

It's a good time to put in some companion plants to encourage good bugs into the garden. Try feverfew to deter whitefly. Scatter the leaves over the vege garden.
