Sliding Raving Rabbids: Alive & Kicking into my Xbox I wasn't expecting much ... and it certainly delivered.
This being my first foray into the world of the Rabbids, I wasn't sure what to expect from the bizarre-looking critters but was aware that a certain level of "wackiness" would bepart of the mix.
Now I like a smattering of quirky as much as the next guy, but no amount of intestine weaving or UFO dodging makes up for the fact that this is a lightweight game of limited long-term appeal.
Utilising the Xbox's kinect hands-free controller, Raving Rabbids is a collection of mini-games featuring some of the most peculiar critters you're ever likely to come across.
If you're so inclined you can even whip up a rabbid of your own.
Graphically it's a solid affair, with the augmented reality levels - where rabbids seemingly popping out of your living-room floor is quite neat.
I could see this being a fun game, given up to four players can tackle some of the levels, the action moves along rapidly and I would imagine that the characters are quite entertaining for the younger set.
An entertaining rental for some good, not-so clean family fun, but it lacks any hook to lure you in for any longer than that.
