You'd think 50 years of chasing the bad guys would be tiring, wouldn't you? Maybe it's time to enjoy the beach, booze and girls?

James Bond, secret agent 007, has been serving Her Majesty's MI6 through myriad adventures and his latest adversary is no less dangerous than those who came before him.

Believed dead after a mission goes horribly wrong, Bond (Daniel Craig) returns to the fold for his next mission - to find and subdue the creepy madman Silva (Javier Bardem) before he reveals the identity of fellow secret agents across the world and exacts his revenge on M (Dame Judi Dench).

Silva was once an agent but M washed her hands of him when he went rogue. Angry and obsessed, nothing less than her death will do for Silva.

Bond doesn't know it, but every move he makes is being orchestrated by Silva, with the ultimate aim of luring him and M into his trap.

The hunt for Silva is typical Bond. There are car chases, motorbike chases and a multitude of gunfights and fist fights. There's also an out-of-control train hurtling through a tunnel.

There's danger and adventure at every turn - Skyfall hasn't moved away from the proven Bond formula. It is all action and it builds up to the ultimate showdown on a remote Scottish country estate.

It comes down to kill or be killed and Bond must use his skills to survive and protect M.
