Food is the one thing everybody thinks about every day. That and money. Food and finance go hand in hand. We want to eat well but we don't want it to cost a fortune.

Kim McCosker is here to help.

McCosker is a wife, mother of three young boys, and author of the 4 Ingredients books.

One Pot One Bowl is one more cost-saving cookbook in the library of 4 Ingredients.

It is aimed at the cooler days when you're always looking for quick, easy and homely recipes.

McCosker uses everyday ingredients and, as the title tells you, just four of them for her recipes. Even better, in this book she uses just one pot so there's hardly any cleaning to do.

They are simple and convenient meals aimed at helping you rediscover the pleasure of being together for a home-cooked meal.

This collection of recipes includes casseroles, easy roasts, soups and stews, pizzas, and pasta and pies, complemented by a selection of delicious desserts all made with just four or fewer ingredients.

My favourites are pumpkin and sage flan, chicken enchilada cake, baby-banoffees and lime pie.

Of course, I am yet to try more.
