This small, easy-to-read book has been divided in 11 points that teens want to get across. More than 1000 young people and numerous parents were interviewed and the publication makes a useful read for all involved with the younger generation (and who isn't in some way?).
It is written to
parents as if their teenagers were chatting to them around the coffee table, with boxed text to give quick tips such as "what you can say to let your teen know how important trust is" and "actions to start with".
I have a blessed relationship with our teenage daughter (and our other three children) and while I recognised many things we do, I also think some of the ideas were too farfetched for my 'traditional mind', which shows there are more than one way to bring up healthy, well-adjusted children who will feel respected and loved and be able to give those qualities in return.
