Major Stones fans will already have most of these songs handy - but for the uninitiated, the curious, and those looking to upgrade to CD or digital before their old copies fade away, this comprehensive compilation, Grrr!, is as good a place as any to get some satisfaction.

The 3-CD,
50-track edition allows you to track the Stones from their earliest recordings, like Come On and It's All Over Now to two new tracks released 50 years later. To my mind the better tracks came in the late 60s, including the fun Sympathy For The Devil and the powerful Gimme Shelter, but everyone will have their own favourites.

The mid-60s provided classics like Time Is On My Side, Paint It Black and the almost Beatlesque Ruby Tuesday. But the less said about the latter part of their career, when the moss began to gather, the better.
