A cappella at its best - that's MineAccord - performing at Waikato University's Academy of Performing Arts on July 28.
Sixteen singers, passionate about vocal variety, will start with a madrigal, then on to Broadway (old and new), before a folk arrangement from Brazil.
There will be sounds of contemporary
sacred music by Morten Lauridsen and others, then arrangements written for and recorded by the Kings Singers.
MineAccord, conducted by Clive Lamdin, have spent the past seven years building an impressive repertoire and a respectable reputation, as well as some complimentary comments from the Kings Singers during their Hamilton visit earlier this year.
MineAccord will share the programme with the Hillcrest High School SCAT choir, which will feature some numbers from the programme from an upcoming visit to Christchurch in support of the city's rebuilding.
