Sid and Chand Sahrawat are hosting a special fundraising luncheon to raise money in support of victims and families of the Christchurch mosque shooting. The $250-a-head event will be hosted at Sid at the French Café on Sunday April 28, with all proceeds going to Victim Support through hospitality charity DineAid. The lunch includes a six-course menu specially curated by Sid Sahrawat and his teams at Sidart, Cassia and Sid at The French Café for the event. Broadcaster Kerre McIvor will MC the luncheon, which includes a live and silent auction with hospitality packages donated by top Auckland chefs and restaurants including Amano, Baduzzi, Café Hanoi, Michael Meredith, Phil's Kitchen, Saan, Tantalus Estate, and The Grove.

Japanese Tea Masterclass at Masu
Learn everything you need to know about Japanese tea with the founder of Nippon Tea, Chiwako Hoshinam, at Masu. This afternoon workshop includes tastings of Japanese teas; Gyokuro, Houjicha, Sencha and Matcha (pictured), and Masu desserts.

Feijoa Festival at The PumpHouse Theatre 
If you're a lover of feijoas, this festival is for you. Taking place at Takapuna's PumpHouse theatre, The Feijoa Festival will have feijoa-infused food stalls, Lothlorien's feijoa wine, live music, and a feijoa forest dance floor. The fruity fun will continue at Macs Brew Bar Takapuna with fire dancers, live bands and DJ sets.

Seafood Degustation at Clooney 
Seafood lovers should book in for a special degustation at Clooney in May. Clooney head chef Nobu Lee will join forces with Daniel Puskas, the head chef and co-owner of Sydney restaurant Sixpenny, for a seven-course tasting menu. The menu will focus on New Zealand seafood, gathered by the chefs themselves from the South Island.
