Win a year's worth of books with the Listener.

Your chance to win a year’s worth of books starts here when you subscribe to the listener.co.nz

World Book Day is a celebration of literature, reading, and storytelling – and it’s so good, there are two of them. The UK celebrates all things books and reading on the first Thursday in March; in Aotearoa New Zealand, our celebration is in April but here at the listener.co.nz, it might as well be World Book Day every day.

Books hold a special place in our hearts for numerous reasons. They transport us to different worlds, inspire us, educate us, and provide comfort in times of need. They bring communities together through shared stories and experiences, fostering a sense of connection and empathy.

World Book Day – whenever you celebrate it - encourages us to appreciate the magic of storytelling and the impact it has on shaping our perspectives and understanding the world around us. By honouring books, we can celebrate the authors and creators behind our favourite ones, along with the joy of reading itself.
