Zoe Hunter: Top 10 reasons why my relationship is thriving in my bubble
We met at school more than 10 years ago before a birthday text message and an invitation for a drink at the local bar brought us back together.
We officially started dating October 2018 and only moved in together a little more than a month ago. Our two flatmates have chosen to isolate with their families, which meant we have been left all alone, for the first time.
I have seen the many humorous posts on social media about couples not getting along in lockdown – but I am relishing at this moment.
The coronavirus pandemic has brought us closer together.
I am not sure whether it is because we have been forced to spend time together or whether it is because we are getting to know each other all over again and in a whole new way.
Either way, we have been making the most of our newfound time together in our lockdown bubble.
So, I thought I would share with you the top 10 reasons why my bubble works.
1. He brings me coffee and breakfast.
2. He works downstairs and I work upstairs. Neither gets mad at the other if one gets bored and decides to venture either up or down the stairs to the other's workspace.
3. He brings me morning tea.
4. We keep the house tidy. Neither gets mad if one leaves unfinished glasses of water or coffee around the house. Or if one always leaves their drawers open for the other to shut.
5. He brings me lunch.

6. I bake. So far, two lolly logs and one apple crumble have been demolished. Next is a banana cake.
7. We exercise and have fun together. We work-out on the front lawn, go for runs and walks, and even started a mini-putt course in the house. One of us is really good at that, but the other is pretty good at the card game Uno.
8. We make dinner together. Both enjoy each other's cooking. Except one of us is fussier than the other when it comes to food. No pineapple, red onion or olives – gross!
9. We watch plenty of Netflix. Both are happy to watch a full episode of either his choice of the Tiger King or her choice of Cheer.
10. He pours me a wine every Friday once I have logged off work.
