Baby dies in Kaitaia

An infant has died in Kaitaia this morning.

St John Ambulance and the Kaitaia Volunteer Fire Brigade were called to the Bank St address about 11.15am but the child, believed to be two months old, could not be revived.

As investigation is still underway but police said there were no suspicious circumstances and no wrongdoing was thought to have occurred.
